I’m a Canadian singer songwriter, born and raised in Nigeria.
I’m married and blessed with 3 beautiful children and supported by a loving husband.
My love of music began at a very young age and I have been privileged to work alongside some amazing talent by being a part of the church choir at RCCG wisdom chapel, HOTR Ibadan and CWC Surrey BC here in Canada.
I hope you will join me on this incredible musical journey as we bring awareness to injustices against humanity around the world while honouring our God, the sovereign King who reigns forevermore.

Armed with a golden voice, an exceptional songwriting mastery and passion for social justice, Nigerian-Canadian singer Akuchay is using her skill-set to fight a noble cause.
Her music is a blend of RnB, Afro and Pop and her message is centered around Love. Love for God, love for self and love for humanity.
Akudia “Akuchay” Ezeiruaku was born and raised in the buzzing city of Lagos, she ventured into music in 2006 under the moniker Angelica, releasing a hit single “My Naija Guy” followed by a 15 track album. Boy did she hold the industry down and enjoyed a relatively successful career before she took a break, relocated to Canada, furthered her career in healthcare and started a family.
The hiatus is over and Akuchay is back and better with conscious music to touch lives. Under the re-emergence, she has released three singles so far. One of them is WE RISE, a song of hope and vigor to stand against systemic oppression such as #BlackLivesMatter in the West and #EndSARS protest in home country Nigeria. It’s bound to be the go-to song for these and similar movements in the future.
Outside music, Akuchay works in mental health sectors and she uses her social media space to educate her followers on the importance of mental health. She also teaches safe and legal ways by which people can migrate across countries. This is her own little way of curbing human trafficking and exposing scam travel agencies. She is a happily married wife and mother of amazing kids who believes and promotes traditional family values.
2021 has a lot in store for fans of Akuchay and lovers of good music. Her most recent song YOU ARE GOD is currently trending online as her fans have picked up the #YAGchallenge to build anticipation for the official music video which premieres soon.
